Privacy policy

For the Charlie's Emergency Tire Repair website.

The short version

This site exists so you can reach Charlie quickly. It collects the minimum needed to do that, sends it directly to Charlie, and doesn’t store it in any database, sell it, or use it for marketing.

What we collect, and why

• Calls and texts: when you call or text (239) 478-4927, your number appears on Charlie’s phone like any normal call or text. This website itself does not see or record it.
• The request-help form: what you type (name, callback number, location, vehicle details, problem description) is emailed directly to Charlie so he can respond to your request. It is not saved in a database by this website, and it is used only for this request — never for marketing lists.
• “Use my location”: your device’s location is requested only when you tap that button, is used only to fill in the location field for you to review and edit, and is never collected in the background or sent anywhere else.

What we don’t do

• No advertising trackers and no sale or sharing of personal information.
• No marketing emails or texts — a form submission triggers one transactional response about your request, nothing more.
• No cookies for visitors. (One authentication cookie exists only inside the password-protected area the site owner uses to maintain the site — it is never set for the public.)
• Server logs exclude your location, phone number, and message content. Form contents are never written to logs or analytics.

Anonymous usage counters

So the owner can tell which pages actually help people, this site keeps its own anonymous, cookie-free counters: which page was viewed, whether a call/text/form button was tapped, the device size class (phone, tablet, or desktop), the browser’s language, and the referring website’s domain name. That’s the whole list. No IP addresses, no identifiers, no form contents, and no locations are stored, individual visitors cannot be recognized or followed, and browsers with “Do Not Track” enabled are skipped entirely. If separately enabled, a privacy-friendly external analytics service receives the same kind of anonymous event counts and nothing more.

Email delivery

Form submissions are delivered as email over an authenticated SMTP connection. Email inherently passes through the sending and receiving mail providers involved.

Questions or removal requests

Call or text (239) 478-4927 and ask Charlie to delete the email containing your request — happy to do it.
